Although we are all looking for the Taylor’s Checkerspot butterfly, it is good to see these creatures flying. They overwinter as adults. This seen in my garden today. I Also saw the Anglewing Totoiseshell today for the third time this year, but it has been flying too fast for a photo.

Satyr Anglewing
Same Satyr, showing the wing underside.
