Celebrating Herring with Doug Hay, Fisheries biologist.
March 14th at 10 am in the Back Hall where there will also be herring delicacies to sample.
A Beach walk to follow at 1pm (location to be announced later).
Doug Hay is a retired federal fisheries biologist, world class expert on the pacific herring. Spawned in Manitoba, reared in BC, PhD from UBC, worked at the Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo from 1977 to 2004.
