This season the herring largely avoided Denman Island as they spawned in waters North of Cape Lazo and south of Bowser. The only fishery in Denman waters took place at the southern end of Baynes Sound.
Qualicum Bay, shown here on March 10th, received a good bounty of herring eggs.
