On my visit to Tree (Sandy) Island on April 1 I found Spring well underway – No Fooling.

Birds were found all along the shorelines.

Carpets of flowers were comprised of very small blooms. The dominant Gold Star, Crocidium multicaule was everywhere.

Help with identification of the other flowers would be appreciated.

John

  1. Hi John,
I would guess Small-flowered blue-eyed Mary (Collinsia multiflora?) for the blue flowers, but can’t quite guess on the pink ones. Surely Deb or Jenny or Andrew would know. Sea blush, maybe but the leaves make me question my guess.
So nice to see these pictures of Tree Island. Glad you got out there on such a beautiful day.
