A Denman Conservancy diorama depicting a typical Denman wetland is one of this summer’s Museum displays. The diorama celebrates our good fortune on Denman. Here the island’s geomorphology of ‘Ups and Downs’ coupled with our determined wetland engineers, the ever busy beavers, provide us with our ample surface water. Our wetlands and lakes offer, among other benefits, our drinking water, both directly as well as indirectly through seepage to the water table and our wells.
