Denman Conservancy Association is hiring a coordinator for: ‘Denman Living with Beaver Project’  May 1 2023 – March 15 2024.

This initial seed stewardship project is funded by the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation and DCA. The Project is part-time and wages proposed at $25/hr. The project work is:

1. Community Outreach- helping to present beaver information to the Denman Community.

2. Landowner-beaver conflicts– contacting landowners with beaver-conflict issues, documenting these and investigating initial solutions

3. Agency beaver-conflicts- working with BC Parks and Highways and Denman volunteers to monitor water gauges and remote cameras at road-culverts.

4. Citizen-science– guiding volunteer ‘beaver-spotters’. Overall, collecting and summarizing all data … leading to a final talk and report to the community. The coordinator will be assisted by Denman Island biologists and DCA.

Applications to be submitted by Friday April 14 by 5pm PDT, with interviews beginning April 17. Please send applications with a CV to info@denmanconservancy.org
