The Annual Book sale is a major fundraiser for Denman Conservancy, and runs for a few consecutive Saturday mornings beginning mid-late August and running until late September.
Feel free to come and peruse for 5 minutes or 5 hours! Treasures await!

Each year in the spring, dedicated Book Sale Volunteers begin to collect and sort gently used books donated by generous islanders. The result is always a treasure trove of literature, lovingly categorized and sorted and thoughtfully displayed by these tireless DCA Book Sale Stalwarts.
The sale takes place in the Conservancy Room at the Old School where thousands of books are displayed each year and are sold by donation.

In the fall, the Book Sale lifecycle continues as the same and more dedicated volunteers make many trips lugging boxes of unsold books to the Courtenay Rotary Club. Typically, the storage space is cleared out just in time to make room for the next year’s donations!
It really is a year-round ongoing effort in celebration of literature and in support of DCA.
