The Lindsay Dickson Nature Reserve is named after the family of Dr. Lindsay Dickson who bought this land and moved his family to the property in about 1900. When the doctor died in 1908 his son Gerald was living on the property. In 1923 the house depicted was built. Much of the doctor’s story is documented in a recent blog by Diana Pedersen:
