Roadside broom
This part of my frontage used to display a border of mature blossoming broom. Just under 10 years ago I cleared out the mature plants and have been suppressing the youngsters ever since. The Highways mower helps by mowing the verge.
Today I pulled 46 (or maybe 47) young plants – mostly this years seedlings but 3 or 4 two- year plants. That was to clear the area between the three Maple leaves in the foreground and the power pole. I think I got most of them.
